A personal introduction.
A Buffalo native with extensive surgical training, Dr. Aquino brings his experience back to the community he calls home.

Vincent M. Aquino
DDS, MD, FACS, FAAP
Dr. Aquino is a Buffalo native and a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with advanced fellowship training in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive surgical care for both children and adults, with a particular focus on the treatment of congenital and acquired craniofacial deformities.
Education & surgical training
Dr. Aquino completed his undergraduate education at the University of Notre Dame before returning to his hometown to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo. He subsequently moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he completed medical school, a general surgery internship, and his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. During his surgical training, he gained extensive experience in the management of facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, head and neck pathology, and complex dentoalveolar surgery.
Pediatric cleft & craniofacial fellowship
Following residency, Dr. Aquino pursued advanced subspecialty training in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery at El Paso Children's Hospital in El Paso, Texas. Under the mentorship of Dr. David Yates, Dr. Natash Fürchtgott, and Dr. Ziyad Makoshi, he developed expertise in the comprehensive surgical management of children with a wide range of congenital and acquired cleft and craniofacial conditions. His fellowship provided extensive experience in multidisciplinary craniofacial care, with an emphasis on improving both functional outcomes and quality of life for patients and their families.
Service beyond borders
During his time in El Paso, Dr. Aquino also participated in monthly cleft lip and palate surgical missions in Juárez, Mexico, providing essential surgical services to underserved communities along the U.S.–Mexico border. This experience further strengthened his commitment to expanding access to specialized surgical care for children in need.
Serving Western New York
Having completed his extensive training, Dr. Aquino returned to Western New York, bringing together his broad background in oral and maxillofacial surgery and advanced expertise in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery. As a Buffalo native, he is proud to serve the community in which he was raised and is committed to delivering compassionate, comprehensive, and patient-centered surgical care to individuals and families throughout the region.
